2 maand geledenMINNEAPOLIS: 6xx 24th Ave. N. – Politie en ambulancepersoneel zijn ter plaatse bij een schietpartij die plaatsvond tijdens vermeende activiteiten van de Immigratie- en Douanedienst (ICE) in het gebied. Aanvankelijk werd er melding gemaakt van twee slachtoffers, maar er is nu één bevestigd mannelijk slachtoffer met een schotwond in het dijbeen. Hij werd rond 19:45 uur door ambulancepersoneel naar North Memorial vervoerd. Uit eerste informatie blijkt dat de schietpartij plaatsvond tijdens activiteiten van de Immigratie- en Douanedienst, hoewel de autoriteiten geen verband hebben bevestigd en verdere details schaars zijn. Vanwege de versleuteling van de politieradio is er geen informatie over de persoon of personen die de schoten hebben afgevuurd. Volgens berichten van de ambulancedienst meldden ambulancemedewerkers dat er kort na de melding van de schietpartij een groep demonstranten met fluitjes aanwezig was in de buurt van 24th Ave. N. en Lyndale Ave. N.
